Job fair offers chance to meet employers

Thames Reach is hosting a job fair this Friday 29 June as part of National Employability Day. The event, which takes place at the organisation’s Employment Academy in Camberwell from 10.00am – 1.00pm, gives people who are seeking work a chance to meet employers and take advantage of training opportunities.

Twenty organisations, including training providers and employers from a range of sectors, such as social care, construction and hospitality, will be exhibiting at the event. All jobseekers attending are encouraged to bring along their CV.

Thames Reach will also be exhibiting and you can find out more about current vacancies here.

Thames Reach support worker Katherine Cowling said: “We’re really excited to be hosting such a broad range of employers, 20 organisations in total, so there will be something interesting for everyone.

“There are two interview skills workshops being run during the day, which means you can leave feeling more confident and ready to apply for jobs. The most important thing is to turn up and have a chat, job fairs allow for an opportunity to get to know an employer before you apply and to see what is out there.”

The job fair is free to attend and you can register for the event here.

Information on how to find the Employment Academy is available here.
