Corporate partners go all out for Thames Reach

Property developers St William and St James recently invited their contractors and consultants to take part in a series of competitive charity days, with a cricket match taking place on 10 August at The Kia Oval in Kennington in support of Thames Reach and Vauxhall City Farm.

The day raised an extraordinary £23,287.72 with £11,643.86 donated to Thames Reach to help the organisation’s work to end street homelessness.

The match was just the latest event in a busy summer of fundraising activities undertaken by St William and St James in support of Thames Reach. The firms raised £10,925 for the charity while taking part in the Crystal Maze experience, along with £744.35 raised through a bake sale.

Alison Dowsett, managing director of St William, said: “Together, St William and St James are aware of the importance of supporting individual charities significant to local businesses – and most recently, St William has been heavily committed to helping raise funds for Thames Reach in its mission to end street homelessness. We look forward to continuing our support and developing the partnership with Thames Reach.”

Milton Bevan, Thames Reach fundraising manager, said: “A big thank you to both St William and St James and their partners for a most energetic and enthusiastic day of fundraising at The Oval.

“Your continuing support and involvement in our work to end street homelessness is having a great impact for the people who use Thames Reach services.”
