Tower Hamlets SORT (Street Outreach Response Team) helps
rough sleepers and people caught up in a street lifestyle in the
borough of Tower Hamlets.
Tower Hamlets SORT staff and volunteers are out on the streets of the
borough seven days a week in a bid to help rough sleepers off the
streets and into accommodation.
Shifts take place both early in the morning and at night in a bid to help as many people as possible.
Tower Hamlets SORT works with a wide range of people with different
support needs, including those with mental and physical health issues,
drug and alcohol problems, and men and women who have recently left
prison or care.
Specialist workers provide support to new rough sleepers, vulnerable women and EU nationals.
Tower Hamlets SORT also runs a service called InReach, offering
support to former rough sleepers who are at risk of losing their home.
If you are concerned about someone sleeping rough, please contact StreetLink at www.streetlink.org.uk
