Two Thames Reach staff members have jumped out of a plane to support homeless and vulnerable people.

Petra Salva and Terri Filkins took part in a charity skydive to raise money for both Thames Reach and CRASH, the construction and property industry charity for the homeless.

The 12,000-foot jump took place in late April.

Petra, head of outreach and service manager for North East London, said: "Neither of us had jumped out of a plane before and it was an amazing experience. We were in freefall for over 45 seconds.

“If you can help us raise some cash we would really appreciate it."

If you would like to sponsor Petra and Terri, please visit www.justgiving.com/petraandterri where you can make a quick and easy donation online.

Or if you feel inspired to organise your own fundraising event for Thames Reach, please contact our fundraisers Emma Rembalski and Glenna Smith via email or by phoning 020 7702 5654.

They will be able to offer advice and support on how you can raise funds for London's homeless – and it doesn't have to mean jumping out of a plane.
