Homelessness charity Thames Reach has scooped a prestigious London Excellence Award for its customer focus.

The charity fought off competition from organisations within the private, public and voluntary sectors to win the award, which recognises world-class standards. The awards panel was chaired by Commander Simon Foy of the Metropolitan Police.

The awards themselves aim to recognise and reward those organisations which innovate, make continual operational improvements and identify the best practice approaches that produce success.

Thames Reach Area Director Nicole Njie said: “Thames Reach is delighted to receive this award. We have a strong track record for delivering responsive, customer focused services across London; this is in part down to the hard work and commitment of all our staff across the organisation. We are committed to ensuring vulnerable adults and homeless men and women continue to have a voice; directly influencing the design and delivery of their services.”
