Thames Reach's campaign against super strength drinks will be featured on prime-time television this Friday, 2 May.

A ten-minute film on the issue will be shown as part of BBC One's social affairs programme 'Inside Out' at 7.30pm.

The segment contains interviews with staff of Thames Reach, including Chief Executive Jeremy Swain, and supporters of the campaign such as Martin Linton MP.

It also features moving contributions from people who use the charity's services and who have experienced first-hand the impact of these highly alcoholic and readily available drinks.

The film exposes the unscrupulous off-licences that offer credit to vulnerable drinkers to encourage them to buy large amounts of super strength lager.

Thames Reach's campaign highlights the deaths and serious health problems caused by these drinks  among the capital’s homeless.

The charity would like to see super strength lagers taxed more heavily with a view to them being removed from the marketplace.
