11 December 2007

Businesses and individuals can choose from a range of gifts on the John Lewis website to donate to men and women who are supported by Thames Reach and help them enjoy the festive season.

The gift list, which is active until Tuesday, 25 December, has been set up through Business in the Community.

The gifts listed include household items and furniture such as chairs, candles, cutlery, beds and televisions, starting from as little as £4.

The items will go directly to former homeless people who are moving into a flat of their own, or to help make our hostels and supported accommodation projects more welcoming and comfortable for the residents.

To buy an item from the list, go to the John Lewis website and enter Gift List number 288694 (you do not require a password).

The gift list has been set up as part of the London Festive Giving campaign, which enables businesses to help those who are most vulnerable to enjoy the festive season.

Business in the Community is a member organisation that supports and challenges businesses to improve their impact on the community, environment, marketplace and workplace. It has named Thames Reach as its chosen charity for the year.
