The Streatham Redskins ice hockey team linked up with Thames Reach to provide a treat for two former rough sleepers late last month.
Dennis Rogers and Tony Whittaker received free tickets for the game against rivals Swindon Wildcats and were invited onto the ice for a photoshoot with the players.
They had both spent many years sleeping rough in London before receiving the support and housing from Thames Reach to help them get on with their lives.
Dennis Rogers, aged 47, said: “It was a great atmosphere with people of all ages from grandparents through to children enjoying the game.
“It was a great opportunity to get involved in something in the local community and I’d like to send a big thank you to the team for providing the tickets.”
Tony Whittaker, aged 65, said: “I enjoyed every minute of the game and I’m looking forward to getting back there to cheer them on again.”
