Homelessness charity Thames Reach scooped two categories in the prestigious 2007 London Excellence Awards which recognise world-class standards.
The charity fought off competition from the private and public sector to win both the Leadership and the Innovation & Learning categories.
The awards were assessed and judged by over 100 business leaders and attracted entries from sectors including construction, housing, education and law. They aim to recognise and reward those organisations which innovate, make continual operational improvements and identify the best practice approaches that produce success.
Jeremy Swain, Thames Reach Chief Executive, said: “Thames Reach is delighted to have won two London Excellence Awards, an achievement which is especially impressive as it has been done in competition with some of the big hitters from the business and public sectors.
"The awards show not only how far Thames Reach has come in raising standards and pushing boundaries, but illustrate the quality and confidence that can now regularly be found in the voluntary and community sector.”
