A team of volunteers from Cable & Wireless spent a day refurbishing a Thames Reach house in Brixton last December.
Around 30 staff members from the telecommunications giant worked together to paint and decorate the lounge and office and revamp the garden of the supported housing project for former rough sleepers.
Cable & Wireless donated all the equipment needed for the renovation, including paint, furniture and pictures for the lounge, a clock for the office, and plants and bulbs for the garden.
Joanne Williams, from the Thames Reach department that manages the house, said: "We were surprised at how generous the C&W team were in their donation, and their work exceeded all of our expectations. Staff have commented on what a positive place the house now feels, and we are confident that this will give future residents a very clear message that they deserve such a space.
"The renovation is timely as the the project is being remodelled to become 'Brixton Step', for people aiming to stabilise thier drug use."
Emma Perkins, one of the volunteers, said: "Everyone at C&W had a great time and really enjoyed being able to help. We all hope that the project is a success."
