An absolutely fabulous exhibition

10 March 2006
Renowned actress Joanna Lumley opened an exhibition of artwork produced by a group of former rough sleepers in South London earlier this week.

The artwork – displayed at the Betty Morton Gallery in Brixton – has been produced by the Saturday Group, made up of formerly homeless men and women who use the services of the charity.

The group was set up with funding from Joanna Lumley, who wanted to see more activities available for homeless people in South London at the weekends.

Thames Reach Bondway's resource centre - Hudson House on Stockwell Green in Lambeth - hosted the group.
