03 September 2008:
Thames Reach has received an endorsement from a highly influential organisation, whose aim is to promote Britain’s top charities for philanthropic funding. New Philanthropy Capital (NPC) has been described by The Evening Standard as ‘The best philanthropy advisors in the world’. Nominees are measured and endorsed based on their overall results.
Adrian Fradd, co-author of the report said:
“New Philanthropy Capital is passionate about ensuring that the charities with the best results attract the most funding. Our independent research, tools for charities and advice for donors help direct support for maximum impact.
We recommended Thames Reach in our report because of the exciting work it is doing helping homeless people to get into training, volunteering and jobs. Employment can provide people with the income, the self-confidence and the skills to move out of homelessness. Through its employment schemes, Thames Reach is successfully helping homeless people get back into work, and acting as an example of best practice.”
As a direct result of the recommendation, Man Group plc, a world-leading alternative investment management business, have donated £25,000 to Thames Reach through the Man Group plc Charitable Trust.
