Thames Reach recently launched its new Lambeth outreach service, Lambeth SORT (Street Outreach Response Team).
The team has been set up to support rough sleepers and those caught up in a street lifestyle in Lambeth. The main objective for Lambeth SORT is to reduce the number of people sleeping rough in the borough. Offering a round the clock response service, the team is addressing the needs of some of the most vulnerable people within the borough.
Thames Reach have also been in talks with the SBEG group (South Bank Employers’ Group) with a view to agreeing a partnership to set up trainee and volunteer schemes for Thames Reach service users, providing employment opportunities within the area.
SBEG is a partnership of sixteen organisations in South Bank, Waterloo and Blackfriars with a commitment to improving the everyday experience of the area for employees, visitors and residents alike.
