As well as supporting vulnerable people, Thames Reach hopes to influence policy-makers and public opinion on the issues that surround homelessness. Occasionally, we might debunk some of the myths.

Thames Reach also responds to government policy and strategy consultations on issues surrounding homeless and vulnerable people.

'Young olds' are vulnerable, middle-aged former rough sleepers who have the health problems of those twenty years older, and who often can't get the support they need.

If you give money to people who beg it will probably be pent on drugs. In most cases, you'll be helping them to buy the heroin and crack cocaine that could kill them.

Local authorities need to free up more flats for hostel residents who are ready to move on. A failure to do so will lead to a rise in the number of people sleeping rough on London’s streets.
